Here Comes The Sun!

It's the Summer Solstice!

I actually was up at 5:04 AM (the exact time of the Summer Solstice) and watched the sun come up at 5:14 AM.

This is my favorite time of year,  long sunny days with long twilights.  It's also a rather sentimental time as around this date we moved out here to camp for the first eight weeks and build our little house in the woods.  We live in a different house now in the same woods that still hold their magic.

  1. I agree, this is a great time of year! I will admit that I was fast asleep in my bed when the sun came up, but I will enjoy the sunset later this evening.
    Have a wonderful weekend.

  3. I love the sun face. You built a house! Wow! Sounds like a little house on the prairie! : )

  5. Thanks for your interest and supportive comments. I am jealous of your summer joy, we are shivering but have welcomed some rain. For us the days now start to get longer, but not warmer for several more months.

  6. Thank you all for all the kind comments. Winter lies out in the sun, just soaking.
For those under the equator.....remember....Winter will come for us too.
