Were You Worried?

See how the conquering hero comes!
Sound the trumpets!  Beat the Drums!

Some hero!  Aloysius decided to come home at 4:45 AM this morning.  Winter started barking as though the starship troopers were coming over the hill.  Once we got her calmed down we could hear a certain very vocal kitty out in the yard.  He was sitting under the 4Runner, acting as though we had thrown him out into the cold.  So I gathered him up and and brought him in where Winter proceeded to welcome him by sitting on him.

After breakfast and second breakfast he has slept in his favorite green bubble wrap, which came in the package Linda sent when she was getting ready to sell her house.  I don't know what the love is, but he adopted this particular bubble wrap as soon as I opened the box.

Animals are strange......No doubt about it!

Needless to say we are overjoyed to have Aloysius back in the house and now can begin to resume something approaching normal.

I think I have gotten more done today that I have in the past several days.  In the center are the three little whistles I posted on Sunday all glazed, painted and ready to fire!

The weather is turning colder, no real frost yet, but definitely time to finish getting the plants in.  I'm  going to winter over petunias, nasturtiums, marigolds, and any others I feel like trying.  Right now it's like jungle in here.

I'm taking a tea break, but will head back to the studio in a few moments.

Enjoy the day, and, as always, thanks for stoping by............*s*

  1. Silly kitty. Bubble wrap is not for kids. Maybe it keeps the warmth in? xox

    1. Hi Corrine.....Silly kitty indeed! Aloysius just loves this particular green stuff that came in Linda's box. Perhaps he smells her cats. I never leave bubble wrap around even though I have no kids in the house. I recycle it to pack pots; it's too costly to be a toy!

  2. Dearest Suzi,
So glad your Aloysius got home safe and gave your an early wake up call. Maybe that's why you got so much done today and besides, your worries were gone!
Do you now have another kitty in the house too? Ours, at least two out of seven, do have friend cats and they love to visit them too. That is a worry when they don't show up for breakfast or for supper!
    Hugs,
    Mariette

    1. Hi Mariette....We have two other kitties in addition to Aloysius......Friendly Kitty, who loves people but has no use for other cats and KikiLaSois, named after Collete's cat and Kiki's Delivery Service. Aloysius and Kiki are real buddies. Aloysius is definitely the leader of the pack; we're not sure that Winter really knows she is a dog.
I have heart attacks when they get loose, but all is well now.

  3. HI Suzi,

so happy to hear that Aloysius is safely back home - such a worry when they wander away.
Love the sweet whistles - the pig and penguin are really cute.
    Happy day

  6. I would guess that the bubble wrap smelled like Linda's cat. Glad yours is home safe.

  7. ACK! I've been out of town and am just catching up on blogs so I didn't know he was missing. I'm so glad he is home. You must be so relieved. I would have been a total and complete wreck.

In other kind of fun news, I have a friend who just had a baby yesterday and his middle name? Aloysius! How about that?

  8. Hi Claudia...Welcome back. I hope it was trip for fun and not bad stuff.

We were pretty wrecked while he was gone. A lot of time was spent staring out windows and walking around the woods. Our Aloysius is named after Sebastion Flyte's teddy in Brideshead Revisited!
