  1. We used to have some in Japan. They often lost buds because we didn't leave them in dark! Yours are lovely!

    1. Hi Midori.....I many cacti in many different colors. The pink are often the first to bloom but never this early. I generally leave them out until they set buds before bringing them in. Perhaps it's because plants haven't had to deal with drought; everything is blooming away!

    1. Hi Meredith....Mine are still out too; that's what makes the blooming so odd. They look pretty with the impatiens.

  3. Dearest Suzi,
    Never mind; if blooms!
A cold spell will trigger bud forming and we cannot stop mother nature so we might as well enjoy what she gives us freely without being forced for commercial purpose only!

    1. Hi Mariette....to post a reply, you have to hit the publish button! I kind of like the way my plants bloom when they want to.
Hope you have not suffered any more stings.

  4. oh those are early birds, the light must be low in the sky now, I could never get them to bloom at the right time unless I bought them blooming. Ha.

    1. Hi Linda...Their blooming is dependent on length of days and amount to cold. The way buds are setting this year they will probably be in bloom from now until close to Christmas!

  5. Are they unusually early or am I just late? It seems they usually bloom in Nov around here.

    1. Hi Lori...Yes, these are particularly early. Mine usually start blooming after I bring them in in late October, early November.

I hope you will share Katt i Hatt so that more people will do the same now that it's getting cold outside and the cats need things. We can make it worldwide * smile *.

  9. Mine is still outside too. It blooms very unpredictably. We have a very dark house and it's not really happy all winter :-(

  10. Hi Michele....I have mine in a spot that get filtered sun and I give them tons of fertilizer all summer. Winter light doesn't seem to matter much, but wide temperature changes (such as moving them from the sunroom to the very warm living room) will make them drop buds!
I think a lot of gardening is a crap shoot!
