  2. Dearest Suzi,
    Merry Christmas to you both.
We had a quiet one, Mass and a Christmas dinner for the two of us.
Early in bed and catching up on all the mail. Called a lonely widowed cousin in The Netherlands and when Pieter wakes up from his nap, we will call Dad in The Netherlands.
Foster daughter Anita did video Skype with us before breakfast. She woke me up around midnight but I was nog going to sit and talk to her than, went back to sleep...
    Hugs,
    Mariette

    1. Hi Mariette....A very Merry Christmas to you and Pieter.
We also had a quiet but enjoyable day. The weather has been amazing so doing the duck on the grill was a real treat.
If it doesn't rain we may walk down to the beaver pond later.
Hope all is well with your father.

  3. Hope you had a lovely Christmas... what a great tree! My husband gets hay-fever so we have an artificial tree.. still very pretty though with ceramic tree hangers amongst the tinsel..

    1. Hi Anna....Thanks. My sister had an artificial tree that you had to look really hard at to tell that it wasn't real, so I know there are some real beauties out there. Besides it's the spirit of the season that counts!
