functional and decorative pottery
Dearest Suzi,Love that Ginko biloba leaf in the pitcher!Happy World Cat Day for tomorrow and every day.Hugs,Mariette
Hi Mariette....Ginko is a wonderful leaf to use for decoration because it's unique! Thanks for the heads up on World Cat Day!
Naomi's decoration looks pretty and unusual! It looks porcelain in the photo, but slip on top?
Hi Midori....Naomi works in porcelain in what is called Nerikme or Neriage. Blocks of designs are made with colored clay, cut and rolled. Naomi uses hers over porcelain and builds her pottery. If yoy google Naomi or Nerikame you can find lots of info
Thank you. I thought it looks similar to nerikomi, a Japanese technique, but inside usually has same patterns, so I thought something different. She must have done something clever to make inside white. : )
Live free and craft I'll have to tell that to Gary's cousins when I get up there. Ha.
Hi Linda.....I thought this was a good one. You've probably figured out that 's on the back of a tee shirt.
