Old Christmas is past;
Twelfth Night is the last'
And we bid you adieu,
Great joy in the new!
Twelfth Night is traditionally a feast of fools. There is role reversal with the peasants ruling the evening.
The Chorus of Westerly always does a wonderful Twelfth Night celebration. If anyone lives reasonably close it's not to be missed!
I've had the edge of a cold this week but am feeling much better now.
Cold today but we are going to see a warming trend in a few days! YES!!!
Stay warm, and, as always thanks for stopping by.........*s*
Happy Twelfth Night to you!
ReplyDeleteHi Paul.....Thanks for the good wishes.
DeleteLovely amaryllis!
ReplyDeleteHi Barb.....I found this one on sale; it looked pretty bad when I bought it.
DeleteDearest Suzi,
ReplyDeleteGlad you're feeling a lot better now!
Getting out of such a bad flu is not easy. I will be dealing with my lingering bronchitis for a while longer but I can live with it.
Just noticed that my FeedBurner again stopped loading... Am about to quit my blog because of all that!
Sending you hugs,
Mariette
Hi Mariette.... You have been hit with the lingering effects of the flu. Toes crossed that you continue to improve; take care of yourself.
DeleteDon't give up on your blog completely; FeedBurner needs to learn some manners.
Have a good week end.
Oops, it did load and hopeful it behaves well from now on!
ReplyDeleteToes crossed!
DeleteI know, I too look forward to warming weather :)
ReplyDeleteHi Gary....I am such a wimp to complain when you are running around with frosted eyelashes!
DeleteGlad to hear you are feeling better. It's sunny out here today. I am late on getting into the studio but I'm finding this return to blogging to be very nice. So I am catching up on reading others blogs and leaving comments! Yay! Take care.
ReplyDeleteHi Ron....As I have said (written) before, it's great to see you back in the blogosphere! I want to get back into posting more often; FB is fine for quickies, but a blog post allows a lot of depth.
DeleteNot much warming here but the flower sure is pretty. xox
ReplyDeleteHi Corrine.....Thanks, flowers in winter help me tolerate the dark and cold of winter. I am beginning to see primroses in the markets; I always welcome their cheerful colors!
DeleteHappy New Year to you! Flowers like those seem to rejoice in being alive! For some reason your information about 12th night and role reversal with peasants ruling the evening made me think of what I sometimes hear on the radio if I am unlucky enough to tune into a parliamentary debate! Ha!
ReplyDeleteHi Peter....Flowers are a necessity of life. Do you think our various governing bodies (your Parliament, our Congress) have some connecting thread through the middle of the Earth that is transmitting weirdness like electric impulses. We live in a strange world no doubt about that!
