  1. The top photo could be 'Nessie'. (The Loch Ness monster I mean)!

  2. Hi Christene....Nessie indeed! Except that Truce did not like to swim! He was like a little old lady at the beach afraid to lose contact with the bottom. However we indulged in many fantasies of starting rumors of monsters in the woods! Yes, there is my skewed humor at work here.

  3. sweet pup!
I have been reading you but have not been able to comment from lack of the ability to think- do you know what I mean?
Life keeps handing me these things that I need to fix.....good grief I could use a little break.

    1. Hi Meredith....I know exactly what you mean. It's like your brain is in paper cement.
A little break would be good for you.

  5. Dearest Suzi,
Funny, we had a miniature Dachshund and she loved to swim in the Mediterranean! I had to always run and grab her before she would turn into a ball of sand... when reaching the beech. I let her sit on an air mattress and from afar she did swim back on her own. Fond memories...
    Hugs to you,
    Mariette

    1. Hi Mariette.....The image of a little Daushsund as a ball of sand is irreplaceable! I love the memories we have of our furry friends!

  6. I didn't mean to offend Truce, but there are some similarities...the grainy photo, the fading light!

  7. Hi Christine...Please, no offense taken. Wolfhounds lend themselves to such interpretations. I've known more than one named Seuss or Dr. Seuss.

    1. Hi Linda....Thinking back.....waaaay back.....I think we used to talk about the Monster in the pond! That's Proge's Dad way off in the distance....chasing creatures?

    1. Hi Lori....Truce was considered an extremely fine example of an Irish Wolfhound. Wish I had the money to have more of them.
