Gary has the best dreams and tells about them at HIS BLOG!
I rarely remember my dreams, but when I do they are strange. A few days ago I dreamt about a menagerie of these clay animal whistles. In the dream they were all walking around a barnyard and making a lot of noise!
Of course I had to have a go at making them. Pictured are two chickens and a wannabe goat! I have never made any of these as whistles or for that matter in any three dimensional form.
I'll try to take some shots of my process in the next few days.
Tuesday afternoon was an early birthday! Both my copy of Robin Hopper's SWAN SONG, and the Linda Arbuckle mug I ordered from Cindy Bracker arrived Tuesday afternoon. I've had a cozy afternoon watching the dvd and drinking tea!
Swan Song is such a generous gift from the Great Grasshopper himself! It's full of history, photos, short instructional videos, gardens which will make you want to tear up what ever you have growing and start again.......and all tied together with Robin's wry, irreverent humor. It's worth every penny of the purchase price. To make things even better the proceeds go to two charities!
Thanks Robin!
We are finally having some sun without freezing winds. It's supposed to be nice all week end. Toes crossed!
Have some fun in the sun!
As always, thanks for stopping by..............*s*
love that goat, we are expecting frost tonight and tomorrow and my peach already bloomed. I'll try and cover it with a sheet and hope I can save a few fruits.
ReplyDeleteHi Linda...I am so happy that our blueberries did not bloom before the temps dropped. Toes crossed that you managed to save a lot of peaches!
DeleteDearest Suzi,
ReplyDeleteWell, you're enjoying an extended Birthday celebration and that is good!
At our age we must hold onto it a while longer...
Love your experiments, you have a lot of zest and are quite talented!
Hugs,
Mariette
Hi Mariette......I decided in my sixties that birthday celebrations should go for at least a week before and a week after the actual day! I have friends who celebrate a birthday month!
DeleteEnjoy the weekend!
Hence the name 'Smart Cat'...
DeleteHappy weekend to you dear Suzi!
Thanks! :-D

ReplyDeleteHi Gary....I always enjoy the connection I feel when drinking from a mug made by someone I know.
