It's snowing in a rather half-hearted way. It's what my mother, and thus I, called a 'sugar snow' because it looks like a ton of icing sugar had been dumped on the world.
It's. pretty to look at, but I am oh-so-glad I don't have to go out in it today.
Probably everyone has read, heard of the shooting in Providence at Brown University. I am having a lot of trouble thinking that this could happen in an area I once lived in. Right now I cannot say more. We live about forty miles south, so are not in any danger.
My heart is with students and their loved ones.

Oh dear, I haven’t watched news lately, and this shooting (which I just read a bit about) sounds so scary! I have two granddaughters still on college campuses - elsewhere. I always think of protective bubbles of energy for them and their friends when this kind of thing happens. So sorry it was near you this time! For you I send a virtual hug of comfort as peace returns to your bigger neighborhood.
