Shakespeare

Now is the winter of our discontent

Made glorious by this sun of York.

The opening lines of Richard III openly laid out in a plan filled with jealousy, hate, and revenge.

I generally start my morning with one of the Bard's Sonnets, but his morning I also read Richard's opening soliloquy. It fells appropriate. for these times we live in.

Please, no lectures about how this is not the real Richard.  Do you think Amadeus is about the real Mozart?

It's taken me a while to realize that I am feeling the same way I did on 9/11.

So I retreat into art, literature, and music.  I get my news in small doses from sources I trust, but definitely not first thing in the morning.  This is a time for tea and. kitties.

It's snowing, sightly unexpected, but since I am not going anywhere it's okay.  I'll look at a weather report later.

Make good trouble......and as always, thanks for stopping by....*s*

  1. In order to live (!!) a balanced life, we all have to make choices about weather, news, art, food, pets, medical needs, literature, etc. Oh I also stream old TV shows too! Enjoy the beauty of fresh snow!
