The dragons arrived this morning with lights and ornaments.
This is the little penguin whistle I made last week. He is glazed for a single fire. The pink is the wax resist I use. It makes using black so much easier!
Toes crossed I will have a full kiln by the week end. We'll see grasshopper......
As always, thanks for stopping by................*s*
can't wait to see the penguin, my cat would have that tree down in about a minute.
ReplyDeleteHi Linda...Penguin went into the kiln yesterday. Toes crossed I will be firing over the weekend.
DeleteThe tree is heavy and has bricks in the base, also tied on the top with heavy monofilament line fastened to the ceiling.
The cats have shown little or no interest in the tree; this year they have pretty much ignored it. Of course that may change when we get all the ornaments on! π² π± πΆ π€
Dearest Suzi,
ReplyDeleteYou've been very active in accomplishing all that. Fun penguin you made.
Since we moved from Georgia to Pennsylvania end of 1988 we never set up a Christmas tree. We gave it all away and guess with six fur babies it would be hard for keeping them out of it.
Enjoy the Advent season and stay cozy with your kitties.
Hugs,
Mariette
Hi Mariette...I set up my winter workspace this year so I could look out and watch the birds. It’s a small thing but it has led tomy spending more time in my space.
DeleteGood Yule to you and Pieter
π
DeleteLove the penguin's feet. Will enjoy seeing the finished product.
ReplyDeleteSo glad you got the book OK. Just save it for when you have a quiet time and are a bit bored.
Hi Patti...I find bird feet goofy in the extreme.
DeleteI am saving the book for the post season quiet.
So the season comes in, and solstice too!
ReplyDeleteHi Barb...Winter Solstace is most important to me. Since we are having a cold snap I am going to be making ice lanterns.
DeleteMerry Christmas to you and yours!
ReplyDeleteGlad you opened your blog again...
Hugs,
Mariette
