Spring!

The yellow flags have started to bloom. We did not have many last year due to lack of rain and pond problems.  This year it looks like there will be tons.

The poppies have gone crazy.  The clump has gotten so big I want to transplant some.  I love the thought of poppies growing in the area we only mow once a summer.

Meanwhile the grass is growing. Most of the 'lawn' flowers have finished blooming so there will be some mowing. I will stay inside with the windows closed for this operation.

As always, stay safe, and thanks for stopping by...............*s*

  2. Dearest Suzi,
Lovely Iris pseudacorus L. and they remind me of my childhood as we had many growing along the creeks and water edges back in The Netherlands.
Poppies are a happy flower too, saw several in people's gardens yesterday while walking along Lake Cherokee, TN.
    Hugs,

Ever since then I have wanted to grow them but never have. I am similar to Michele have always wanted to g4ow them and never have. Do you know of the blue Himalayan poppy, they are amazing

    1. Hi Linda...I keep reading about blue poppies. I think they are difficult to grow because they need a specific climate. I might try.......somedau

  5. I wish I could grow poppies! We have a bloom gap that they would fill nicely. Can't get em to start from seed, & the ones I try to transplant die. :(
