Red sky at morn, sailor forlorn.
Found it! Winter Landscape by Pieter Breugel the Younger...1601. detail.
A very red sky at dawn. The contrast od trees against the red sky was striking. Unfortunately I was not organized enough to get a picture. Still sort of sunny today, but more weather is on the way. The bright thing is that it's warming and will probably switch to rain......of course that could lead to a disastrous ground freezing.
The snow has sent my anxiety levels off the chart. Much of this is just me. If I don't have anything to be anxious about I will find something. Usually I can analyze what upsets me and figure out a way to approach/solve the issue. However, the state of the world is not helping.
I have been enjoying watching the olympics. I love the odd, nerdy sports, such as curling. I came across painting in one of my old art books of what looks like an early form of curling. I'll try to get a picture. I think people have been sliding objects around on ice for a very long time. Found the Breugel and I ask....how long has curling been around.
On FB I signed up for February Make A Thing Day. So far I have made nothing. My creative juices feel frozen along with everything else. I did manage to do something to the house power. Pulled a cord that powered the tree light, sparks and pops and one startled person. No power on the circuit. Power elsewhere; it's going to have to wait until the driveway is more passable.
I have been thinking about baby pigmy hippos and manatees. Not sure of the connection, but they are both plump and cute. Perhaps I will make something today.
Stay warm, stay strong, and as always, thanks for stopping by.........*s*

Good to see a post from you. Gracious me, the electric thing is startling! I hope things are safe there. Manatees are so peaceful looking and are being posted on a "save the..." site on FB. Love seeing their big plump bodies just floating around eating lettuce. What a life!
